This error occurs if the USB token drivers are not installed
Install the USB token drivers following the link http://e-mudhra.com/Repository/index.html and download the certificate.
Please find the some of the below cryptographic service provider to be selected while downloading.

Due to security concerns, PIN recovery is not possible. However, you can format the token (which will clear the contents in the token including digital signature certificates). For the DSC which are within 1 month of issuance, we can re-issue a fresh certificate free of cost upon request. For certificates lost due to token formatting which are more than 1 month old you may need to re-apply by clicking the link http://emudhradigital.com.

Encryption certificate is one time password, there is no PIN recovery option. If you do not remember the password of encryption certificate you may need to re-apply the new certificate.

User suspects the misuse of certificate.
Certificate lost.
Change in personal data.

Note: Once the digital signature certificate is revoked you have to reapply for a new digital signature certificate as the revoked DSC cannot be activated again. So, please be sure before revoking the digital signature certificate.

If you are not getting the pop up to install the token drivers check for the below points.
Check if the admin restrictions are enabled in the port. If the admin restrictions are enabled we request you to disable the restrictions or contact your system administrator.
Check by inserting the USB token in the different USB ports available on your PC or laptop. If all the USB-ports are not getting detected check by inserting the USB token in ports in other PCs or laptops.
